Everything went quite well. I encased the entire wire in a 1/4 in plastic tubing from the plate to the backup lights as I needed something to hold it somewhat stiff to work it up from plate. Took about 1 1/2 hours. The dash mount is much better that you had with the Solar powered unit that I bought from your company.
What is the amperage draw of the viewer so I know whether I need to be concerned about the viewer discharging my battery? We drive a Lincoln 2009 MKX that we only have 50,000 miles on to date. Thanks, Tom
I picked this up to install on my trailer that I tow with my truck. Since I cannot attach any wire directly from the truck to the trailer (other than the trailer plug) I wanted something wireless. This has so far done the trick, even if wiring it in was kind of tricky. I needed to find the wires in the trailer for the reverse lights and then splice into them to install the camera.While the signal to the head unit is wireless; the camera itself still needs power which is the tricky part. Originally I was going to install it onto my truck, but the only easy place to get power from was the lights under the truck, as the rear lights are not easily accessable.Overall this camera system works well enough once it is installed, the screen is better than that on my 2014 cruze...
This review is for the Type S HD Backup Camera with 5" Monitor. The Type S HD backup Camera took me a little bit of time to install, I had to watch some videos on Youtube about how to access my vans wires, but once I got that road block out of the way, installation of the product itself went smoothly. The back window of my van has dark tint, and it gets dark at night where I live, and people like to walk in front of my house, so the night vision aspect has helped me tremendously as I always must back out of my driveway when I leave at night. Overall, installation was simple, good screen quality, and the camera is low-key and blends in well to the van.

i have been looking for a backup camera for my truck and since i do a lot of small hauling jobs this has made it super simple for hooking up to my trialers and going on about my day, the set up in instilation was super simple and easy to do, screen quality is crystal clear, the only downfall i see with tis is when you are backing up the lines that are shown dont turn with the truck but stay straight. but they are great for guiding me otherwise. wish i could give it more than 5 stars.
