It looked like it was used out of the box, but the set up was quick and it worked immediately. Decent sized monitor, that you activate with a wave. So far, so good. I would recommend it.
I have a 2010 Mini Cooper convertible with very little visibility. I purchased this backup camera at Costco and it worked perfectly for months. Unfortunately, it has now stopped pairing and does not work at all. I've done troubleshooting twice with TypeS customer service. Since I bought it at Costco, they will not replace it. I'm going to try to return it to Costco.
Easy install, works fine. Image quality is okay for backing up. Field of view is pretty good, and is adjustable to a degree (toggles left and right). Its pretty new, so I cant speak to longevity or holding a charge. As others have noted, the monitor isnt rechargeable, so you have to plug it into the lighter socket, so thats kind of a bummer, and it would have been nice if you didnt have to always have a dangling cable. The monitor is quite large, larger than expected.
The only problem I see is the backup closeness lines appear to be slightly point to the left rear instead of the center. I will check with the manufacturer.I did not see any adjustments to move the lines to the left or right.
Bought for my 20 ft RV as wired units didn't reach. Only issue is my license plate is below the left tail light. It will work for determining my backing up distance, but will have to use side mirrors for actual backing up. Anyone have any ideas for centering? Worried about what we might hit if we screw a different license plate holder in the center.
