Does the camera come pre paired to the monitor?
Yes, the camera is paired to monitor in default. Pairing instruction is written in user manual for reset or add-on camera setting.
Will this camera work with my trailer?
This camera may work with a trailer; however, it depends on what you are hauling: ATV / UTVs, a boat, tractor, etc. There could be interference if the haul is large or dense. The wireless Flex Mount Backup Camera with 5” Monitor may be a better option of you are hauling cargo on a regular basis because it will be wired in to stable power source.
Will this camera work with my truck?
This camera will work with trucks, however, some pickup trucks might require a special installation method to fit above the rear bumper. Please refer to the Instruction Manual.
How long does the camera take to charge?
It should take about 4-6 hours to fully charge the camera using a USB cable.
What is the wireless frequency?
The camera is transmitted under 2.4GHz Radion Frequency.
Can you add another camera to the monitor view?
Yes, this model can pair up to 2 backup camera. Please purchase BT56780 Add-on Wireless Parking Camera and follow user manual for pairing additional Add-on camera.
What is the distance the camera can be from the monitor?
Maximum Signal Range: 30 feet/10 meters (without interference or obstruction)
What is battery capacity and how long does camera take to charge? Do I need to charge the camera before installing it?
The camera comes with a 5,000 mAh rechargeable battery, please fully charge your camera for 8~10 hours using the USB cable included in package. After installation, the camera can be charged by solar panel based on 2 hours of full sunlight exposure with 10 triggers consumption per day.
How do I pair a new camera to the monitor?
(1-1) Press and hold the Power Button under the camera for 6 seconds, or until the LED flashes Blue continuously. The camera will be turned on and enter Pairing Mode for one minute.
(1-2) Or press and hold the Power Button for 5 seconds to enter Pairing Mode if the camera is already on.
(2) On the Dash Monitor, tap the "SETTINGS' icon and then tap "PAIR CAMERA" to enter the pairing screen. Tap Front / Rear Camera , Click to pair.
(3) The camera should be paired within 30 seconds. If the pairing is successful, the display will show “Pair OK”.
(4) If no camera is found, then the display will show “Pair Fail”. In this case, cut off power and reboot the Dash Monitor. If you keep receiving the “Pair Fail” message after several attempts, please call our technical support to assist in troubleshooting.
Camera battery not charging with solar
Make sure your car is not parked at your garage or shaded location. Try to have 2~4 hours of good sunlight to recharge the camera each day.
My camera flashes Red LED continuously.
This is low voltage protection, please make sure to recharge your camera from solar or USB cable.
Why doesn't my monitor wake up?
The monitor has motion detection sensors. The sensitivity can be adjusted in the monitor’s Motion Detection Settings. Please refer to the Instruction Manual.
Why did my monitor turn off?
By default, the monitor goes to sleep after 45-seconds of inactivity. This Operation Time can be adjusted in the monitor’s Settings. Please refer to the Instruction Manual.
