Had to try it at this price. $59 @ Costco.
got this for the wifes car just incase she had any issues. havnt had to use it yet thankfully. small form factor comes nicely packaged in a soft zipper case. charges phones wirelessly which is nice too. flashlight works.
Works just as it should and better than expected. The only issue I have is with fitment on my battery terminals. The way my side posts are, the plastic that shields the clamps gets in the way and interferes with connection. Playing around with it I was able to finally get it to work and was really amazed. So while it isn't perfect it's a really good power bank and jump box, I'm fully impressed.
Ordered this for emergencies and phone charging. No complaints. Works as advertised.
I have an older SUV that my kids like to get into and leave lights on and such. So, this was a great idea for something to have around just in case. And it started off like a real legend. After fully charging it, I intuitively plugged in the plug and pushed the light button. The handy read out said that it was fully charged and ready to clamp onto the battery, which I did.The alligator clips extend from an adapter that reads polarity and has a nice readout of the red and green light combinations. After connecting the clips, the lights turned to green which meant we were good to start the car. The ignition turned and the car was successfully started. I thought there'd be around 50% of the battery left but I was off by 49%- the readout reported 99% charged! I was amazed. That is until I turned off the engine prematurely and tried to start it again. It was dead and so I tried to jump it again. But the readout told me to go back and fully charge the batter before jumping again. So, I reluctantly did even though theoretically, I could have done it 99 more times at that rate. After I charged it again, I couldn't get the polarity reading right- I did the same thing but the green light never illuminated solidly. I went ahead and jumped again and it worked without the metaphorical and literal green light. Not sure if that's just a nice-to-have or is integral to the procedure. It'd be nice to be able to jump successively without charging in between. This was almost the best thing ever, but it's not, sadly.
