How’s the camera installed? How do I know that it’s compatible with my vehicle?
The camera can be seamlessly installed over your rear license plate; it is universally compatible with all vehicles (license plates), no need to worry.
The dashboard can be attached to your windshield via its included suction cup, and it uses the 12/24V port in your car as power source. We recommend using the top of your dashboard as weight support for the monitor to prevent it from falling off during extreme temperatures.
Sensor too sensitive, anyway I can turn it off?
Yes, you can mute the beeping via the dashboard monitor. You may also adjust the sensor angle to keep it from going off too often.
Do I need to connect any cable between the camera and the monitor?
No, the transmission between the camera and the monitor is wireless, no need to run a cable. However, you do need to connect the dashboard monitor to power.
How to activate the camera?
The monitor features a motion sensor. Simply wave your hand in front of the monitor to wake the monitor and the camera up.
What does the dashboard monitor use as its power source?
The monitor comes with a power adapter that connects to your 12/24V cigarette lighter outlet. It should power on/off with your vehicle. However, if your vehicle provides constant power through the 12/24V port even when it’s off, please remember to unplug from the port to prevent it from draining your battery.
My license plate is not “centered”, is that ok?
No problem! Our camera has an extremely wide viewing angle, it’ll still cover the entirety of the road behind you.
Does the height of my license plate location matter?
Yes, but both the sensors and the camera are adjustable. Simply adjust them to the angle that’s suitable for your license plate.
What if it’s cloudy or raining outside, will the camera still be charged?
It’ll still charge but slower. According to our calculations, unless you use the camera over 20 times per day everyday for two weeks straight, you shouldn’t be running into any sort of power/battery issue.
Can I place the camera in the front on my front license plate?
Yes, you can! Just remember to “flip” the image horizontally via the dashboard monitor!
How long does it take to fully charge the camera?
If you connect it to a power source directly via the USB cable, it’ll take ~1.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100. Solar charging is much slower; we recommend fully charging the camera using the power cable before installing. Solar charging should be more than enough from then on.
Is the camera waterproof/weatherproof?
Yes, the camera is built with durable IP67 material that can withstand any kind of weather, all year long.
