How long does it take to charge my EV with a Level 1 Charger
Charging can take between 12 – 40 hours dependent on the vehicle’s battery size and starting charge level.
Do I need any special equipment for The TypeS level 1 Charger?
Our Level 1 Charger comes with a Nema 5 – 15 and Nema 10 – 30 Adapter so you don’t need any additional equipment.
Can I charge my EV overnight?
Yes, It’s best for overnight charging and less on electricity costs.
Is the level 1 charging safe for my home’s electrical system?
Use a dedicated outlet that is connected to a 20 AMP circuit or higher. If you’re unsure, change the charging current to 13A or less to prevent overloading
Will the TypeS level 1 Charger increase my electricity bill significantly?
Charging an EV will increase your electricity usage, but the cost is generally lower compared to gasoline. The exact increase depends on your driving habits and electricity rates.
Can I use the adapters that come with the charger?
You can use our adapters we provide because our cords provide temperature protection from overheating and potential safety hazards.
Can I use extension cords and plug it into the EV Charger?
We advise to not use any extension cords that do not have temperature protection

Our Charger comes with overheat protection to ensure there isn’t any overheating or electrical issues.
Can I use the TypeS Level 1 charger outside?
Our charger is rated for outdoor use. However; you should ensure the outlet is certified and protected from harsh weather conditions.
When is the best time to charge my EV?
The best time to charge is 9:00 PM when electricity costs are low. It’s best to review with your provider when peak usage hours take place.
Why are there 2 plug options with different hole configurations? What’s the difference does it matter?
Our EV Charger comes with two Nema adapters. Nema 5-15 is designed for standard 120V household outlets, which is ideal for regular home use. The Nema 10 – 30 is designed for 240V outlets which provides faster charge. The choice of plug depends on your charging speed preference.
